Skype for desktop stored login credentials

    Hello.

I have told Skype to not store any login information after logging off but when I reopen it, still remember my account name and even password. How can I make it to forget that info altogether?.

Hmm, I'm not seeing that behavior here on v8.68.0.96. when I follow this path after having chosen 'Yes' before.

I'll get this on next login:

I wonder if these general settings make a difference.

Also I'm running Windows under a local account, not a Microsoft Account and the Skype account itself isn't tied to any Microsoft account either.

Same here but I am still getting my login credentials saved. I will keep investigating.

This is driving me crazy. Skype still detects my login credentials (hotmail account) even after uninstalling it.

It's possible MS's Hotmail might be causing this persistence in login credentials.. I'm seeing some online chatter that they share the same password. Maybe add a new non-Microsoft email account and then disconnect the Hotmail one as a test.

Let me add however that when I changed my email accounts for Skype, MS made me wait 30 days before it took effect. It turned into a real maze of verification.

    Good day.

I think I have solved this issue by deleting Hotmail account from within Windows Settings.

I can confirm it was that indeed.
