HP Sure Run shows an install date 10 months before PC was setup?
HP EliteDesk 705 G5 Desktop Mini PC running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit v20H2, Build 19042.985.
New from Cheap Laptops, Chromebooks, and Desktop deals | Technoworld and first setup on 12th January 2021.
Looking at the installed programs list I see all are dated 12th January 2021 or later except for “HP Sure Run”. This shows an install date of 11th March 2020, which is 10 months before I bought it new.
I can’t see it when I look in Task Manager ‘Processes’ or ‘Services’.
I have Norton 360 installed so I don’t think I need “HP Sure Run” as well. See https://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetDoc...e=4AA7-2563ENW
Above documentation implies it “can be enabled” which suggests it is installed but not enabled. Maybe Norton 360 disabled it to avoid conflicts.
Q1 – I intend to uninstall “HP Sure Run” and just rely on Norton 360 but, out of interest, does anyone have any experience of “HP Sure Run”?
Q2 – Can anyone explain how “HP Sure Run” shows an install date 10 months before the PC was first set up?
Thanks.
