    Reallusion Character Creator Uninstall Problem

    Hi
got a trial version, and after trying i uninstalled - so i thought. i've just discovered it's left several folders in Program Data, Temp etc. if i try and delete them it says it's open in another program and won't let me. i've deleted contents in the Program Data folder and it immediately recreates them. how can i wipe this crap off my system?

    TIA

If you set or have a System Restore point created shortly before installing it, use said restore point

    Otherwise:

The usual approach - and one I use routinely when uninstalling anyway- is to
    a. reinstall the program
    b. install or get the portable version of Revo Uninstaller or Geek Uninstaller (which I routinely use)

Make sure the target program is not running.
Launch either uninstaller program. From its dialogue, start the uninstall sequence of the target program. The normal uninstaller will run. The uninstaller prog then runs an additional scan for leftovers.

More: a few programs - typically AV progs- have specially written cleanup programs on that program's site.

More: when confronted with leftover parts of a program, a less desirable approach whcih may have to be repeated with manual searches to identify program fragments is to use a program which offers 'Forced Uninstall' - i.e. browse to some folder or exe of the target program then let the uninstaller run a scan which you can review.

Wise uninstaller is one free uninstaller with this feature.

The completeness of removal is then rather up to you.

thanks @dalchina. i actually picked up a copy of revo last night. it still had probs w/ a couple of the folders but Win told me this time which program was using them - some Reallusion thing. ended up managing to stop it and that let me zap everyhting.
needles to say, totally unimpressed w/ Reallusion, will never touch any of their products again. Don't like uninstallers that leave crap on your system, but leaving crap that still actively runs and recreates stuff when you delete it is pure malware in my book.
