    File Explorer is Blank????

The problem is that everything is blank. When I try to open it to upload a picture in places like discord or here, it works fine, but when I open File Explorer on its own it has this issue. I've tried to go to the "view" menu and reset defaults, I've tried a command prompt file scan, and I tried to just restart my computer. Please help

    Hello,
History: (so often omitted by posters):
    - what happened that led to this - what happened immediately beforehand?
    - how long have you had this problem?

Does using a System restore point (if available) help? (Win key + R, rstrui.exe)
Do you have a recently created disk image? (Routinely using disk imaging is endlessly recommended here so people can often rescue themselves quickly without help, protect their PC and their data). E.g. Macrium Reflect - free - + large enough external storage.

Once you have recovered, please look into doing this.

in previous threads reporting such an issue (feel free to search tenforums for such threads) an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data like any upgrade procedure has helped.

Unfortunately you've not indicated your Windows build - which might be more difficult in your case:

Try Win key + r, winver

In your case you may need to perform the in-place upgrade repair using a bootable disk.

If you are running 20H2, use the MS media creation tool (Google) to create a bootable disk.
If you are running an older build, see the tutorial on how to download an iso file for Win 10 to get the build matching yours. You can then create a bootable disk.

Log in to Windows normally, then run setup.exe from the bootable disk. You should be able to do this from a Run box (Win key + R) or a command prompt.

1 See if the problem exists in Safe mode
2 See if the problem exists for a new user account
    3 Run a Repair install

These procedures are explained in TenForumsTutorials

Your problem was receiving attention in Need help with File Explorer Problem

    Best of luck,
