How uninstall Snip & Sketch in Win10 Home b19042

I've tried everything I could find on the internet but nothing works.

S&S is causing a conflict with PrintKey Pro which I prefer

Try this from the Start Menu
How uninstall Snip & Sketch in Win10 Home b19042-1.png
or option 7 or 9 as appropriate:
    Uninstall Apps in Windows 10

Be careful to follow the instructions at the top of the section.

What is the conflict? I use a couple of screenshot programs- never seen any issues. Hotkey perhaps?

I'm on the Dev channel at the moment so try Ease of Access (Accessibility) then go to keyboard and disable Print Screen shortcut. It's more of a Windows issue rather than Snip&Sketch I think. SS should be uninstallable, though, via right click on the start menu. Failing that Geek uninstaller should remove it.

Thanks guys but None of it worked:

S&S does not appear anyplace in Start Menu, Settings, Option 7 or Option 9

"Ease of Access (Accessibility) then go to keyboard" was already Off for Print Screen shortcut

S&S also does not appear in Geek Uninstaller list

and Yes, I'm guessing it is a hotkey problem.

It's not been a good morning,

    Rob

PS: Can you recommend a plain vanilla print screen sw that Easily lets you switch to Invert Colors?
Neither S&S nor Snagit fit that requirement

    - - - Updated - - -

    Ooops!

Hold on, I realize in my haste and frustration, I did Not do Option 9 yet.
    More to follow.

    - - - Updated - - -

I got into the Power Shell as administrator and ran the same as in option 7 (which I assume I was supposed to do)

    Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.ScreenSketch* | Remove-AppxPackage
There was no visible response after I hit the Enter key. It just returned me to the same Power Shell prompt.
    Is that how it works?

    S&S still works.
So I rebooted and it still works!!!!

Try searching the Store for Snip & Sketch. I see:
How uninstall Snip & Sketch in Win10 Home b19042-1.png
    - which shows it's installed. What do you see?

If it shows it's not installed, try getting it from the Store and reinstalling it, then uninstalling it.

    dalchina,

This is exhausting work and I give up.

I was able to install and uninstall S&S and it says that "You own this app".

I got into the Powershell as a admin but I looked up and down both columns and didn't see anything remotely looking like S&S.

Thanks for all your effort, time and knowledge.
I really do appreciate your persistence.

    Enjoy your weekend,

    Bob

Thanks, and you. Hoping I don't get side effects after my 2nd vaccination yesterday...

If it's now uninstalled, what problem remains?

Hint: I stayed with a stable build of 1903 for a couple of years on 2 PCs. No updates. No problems.

Upgrading creates problems. Choose your upgrades carefully. Hang back (there are multiple ways to do that). Avoid making changes other than installing/uninstalling programs and routine settings.

    Use disk imaging routinely.

    - in my experience the last 'good' build of Win 10 was 1903, given 20H2 has been a downgrade in terms of issues and features for me (broken networking, Cortana no longer sets reminders - its only use for me) - and all my reminders set recorded in Calendar were lost on upgrade. 1903 was the last build where valid search syntax was highlighted in blue in file explorer's search bar. That's gone after MS messed up search badly initially attempting to change it in 1909, when it was perfectly adequate.

Good luck on your 2nd vaccine. I didn't have any problem but, like some others, my wife was wiped out for over a week. She's always been sensitive to meds.

Snip is still there even tho I loaded it and uninstalled it.

I found where I can use Paint to compliment Snip as far as inverting colors. It's a bit of a pain but, oh well.

Thanks for your advice on win updates. I'm not looking forward to them.

You can try options here to remove it.

    Uninstall Apps in Windows 10

Again, what is the conflict with your preferred program?
Can this be overcomer by ressigning a hot key if that's what you're experiencing?
And separate to that- some programs have options to change the hotkeys they use.

Printkey Pro is from 2008 - ancient, and not free. What functionality is it you're looking for?
There are plenty of good free screenshot programs.

Windows Updates: plan ahead to defer them, expecially feature updates. (There's one due soon- minor- no feature changes, lots of fixes).

I've used PrintKey forever. Very simple for what I need, particularly for a one click box for inverting colors when there is a lot of black.

I'm good for now with S&S plus paint.

    Thanks
