You can always use an offline PM (Keepass), there is no danger of it being hacked and it is more convenient.

I'm not as concerned about somebody stealing them as about forgetting them and have to go and spend time at retrieving them as most such places were joined over a throwaway e-mail and with no personal data or my person is just made up. For really important places I don't save the passwords.
One further problem is that I use at least 3 devices to access internet so using same credentials may become somewhat nightmarish.
FWIW I store passwords on a password protected Word file kept on a bitlocker protected USB drive (plus a backup on a second USB drive). I have a hard copy kept in a safe place since I don't use passwords on the move. The PC is disconnected from the internet when editing the Word file. The file is never stored on the PC.
1Password. $3/month. Use it on all your devices. Still $3/month.
Been using it for a number of years and am completely satisfied with it. Recommend it to all my clients. Takes about two weeks to get used to it.
I'm using KeePassXC (offline, multiplatform, open source).
I used the free version of LastPass for years with no problems. When they announced cross-platform support would no longer be free I switched to Bitwarden, also free. Been using it ever since, again with no problems.
I have been using LastPass for a number of years and with the recent announcement with the free account changes, i went out looking for an alternative.
Bitwarden was pretty good, but I just didn't find it's discovery of new sites that I was logging into as good as LastPass, and it was just going to be confusing for my less technical wife and my kids.
In looking at the prices for LastPass (which we all have used), the personal plan was $3 a month, but the family plan was only $4 a month and it gave all 4 of us (actually 6 people total, we just don't have 6) . I am okay with $4 a month for all members of my family to take security seriously and use different passwords for everything. And we can easily share things which we all use and have access to, so Last Pass gave me that.
For the above reasons, i stuck with LastPass. It's worth the cost to me.
