You can always use an offline PM (Keepass), there is no danger of it being hacked and it is more convenient.

To be honest, I do NOT trust Password Managers [ that's just me though ]. It is just something else out there on the Internet waiting to be hacked or cracked.

[1] I have an encrypted Spreadsheet for just general Passwords.
[2] The more Important Passwords I have written down and put in a secret place, just in case I ever forget them, which at my age, will not be long.

I'm not as concerned about somebody stealing them as about forgetting them and have to go and spend time at retrieving them as most such places were joined over a throwaway e-mail and with no personal data or my person is just made up. For really important places I don't save the passwords.
One further problem is that I use at least 3 devices to access internet so using same credentials may become somewhat nightmarish.

    I use a .txt file called: Things-to-do
DITTO! I set Properties to hidden, put it in a folder a couple levels deep in a main folder and revert to default 'un-check Hidden items' in File explorer View. Then just enable View Hidden items when I need it

Hi, there was a time when I didn't need to write down or otherwise save any passwords but as I get older it's not as easy any more and also pčaces that require passwords multiplied. One helpful thing is that sites also have "I forgot password" and can be changed or reacquired but mostly make you change it at same time.
I have no privacy problem with written (on paper) because I'm only one behind my computer and notebook is away of prying eyes.
I also made PDF form file (with form filling enabled) but that also needs to be manually filled/changed manually subject to failing memory.
Right now I'm going thru saved passwords in FF and deleting all that are not valid any more because FF remembers them all and not just updating. There's probably about 100 saved passwords in it and most are out of date.
FWIW I store passwords on a password protected Word file kept on a bitlocker protected USB drive (plus a backup on a second USB drive). I have a hard copy kept in a safe place since I don't use passwords on the move. The PC is disconnected from the internet when editing the Word file. The file is never stored on the PC.

1Password. $3/month. Use it on all your devices. Still $3/month.

Been using it for a number of years and am completely satisfied with it. Recommend it to all my clients. Takes about two weeks to get used to it.

I used the free version of LastPass for years with no problems. When they announced cross-platform support would no longer be free I switched to Bitwarden, also free. Been using it ever since, again with no problems.

I have been using LastPass for a number of years and with the recent announcement with the free account changes, i went out looking for an alternative.

Bitwarden was pretty good, but I just didn't find it's discovery of new sites that I was logging into as good as LastPass, and it was just going to be confusing for my less technical wife and my kids.

In looking at the prices for LastPass (which we all have used), the personal plan was $3 a month, but the family plan was only $4 a month and it gave all 4 of us (actually 6 people total, we just don't have 6) . I am okay with $4 a month for all members of my family to take security seriously and use different passwords for everything. And we can easily share things which we all use and have access to, so Last Pass gave me that.

For the above reasons, i stuck with LastPass. It's worth the cost to me.

I'm afraid I have no way of paying for anything that's not in local currency and can't be payed locally. MS, Steam, Kaspersky etc. all have local offices and accounts, others don't.
