    People App Syncing

I have two computers both running Windows 10 version 1909 with MS Accounts.

Computer 1 has a fully populated People App and Computer 2 has a not so fully populated People App. When I make changes, add to or delete an entry to Computer 1 those changes never get transferred to Computer 2 and vice versa. Syncing never takes place as I think it should. Maybe I am expecting too much.

    I will appreciate any help.

    Thank you.

They should synch if both are using the same MS account. Try uninstalling & reinstalling the apps on both PC and re-entering the MS account details. Check the synch settings - mine is set to every 15 minutes. Also check your contact details online at https://outlook.live.com/people/0/

Go thru all your Sync settings from the Accounts settings, mine are as items arrive on a MS/Outlook Account and every 15 mins on others.
There should be a Last sync time below each Account.

In Filter Contacts settings are Hide contacts without phone numbers > Off.
Show contacts from Accounts, but not Recent contacts(Microsoft People) as you may get some unwanted rubbish.

Thanks, Steve. Sorry it took so lo/ ng to reply but it took time to do what you suggested. I got that done but still don't get the syncing I expected. Additions, changes etc. in the People App on one machine do not appear in the other.

However. if I go to Outlook.Live.Com and make changes, additions, they show up in both machines. That is a pain to login in to the website just to add a name to the People App.or to edit one.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks again.

I use MS Outlook which syncs the contacts. Try using the MS Mail app and run the synch option. I found any data entered in the People app can take a while to propagate.

    Hello @JJG10,

Sorry I am a bit late on parade, but I thought I would post these for future reference as it has helped others in the past . . .

    > How to Turn On or Off Let Apps Communicate with Unpaired Devices in Windows 10
    > How to Turn On or Off Sync Apps Between Windows 10 Devices using Bluetooth

    I hope this helps.

I have forgotten how to mark a thread as 'solved'. Would someone kindly remind me?

    Thanks.

It should be at the bottom of the thread in Green.
