Saving and restoring the running state of a program?

    Yes, History is working very well with Office programs, and some others. What I would want is starting a set of programs, open the files I want and in location I want - and possibility to save this. Without searching for them in history (one by one...)

    You tell me.. My work is typically project oriented, including multiple Excel, Matlab, Word, pdf.. files, and until I'm done with it I don't shut down my main cumputer.. only puting it in sleep. And I'm pissed if I have to restart it, because I have to set my environment again.

    Like a History on steroids Where are the history files and data saved? Maybe someone could play a bit with this?
