permanently hide windowed application on startup

My mouse application (LogiOptions) is unable to be "hidden from sight". I don't want to see it on my taskbar, not even my system tray but I want it to CONTINUE RUNNING in the background. Any app (or even better, without 3ʳᵈ party software) can help to achieve this?

Right-click of the Taskbar, click Taskbar settings should get a screen with

where you can hide that icon from the Notification Area. If you don't need all the features that program offers you can uninstall it, should still get the basics for the mouse.

Hi, this only works for applications which can be minimized to system tray. LogiOptions can only be minimized to the taskbar and not the tray, hence it cannot be disabled from the screen you showed.

Wouldn't right-clicking that icon and Unpin from the Taskbar accomplish it? First just be sure it is still listed in the Start menu so as to have access to it when needed which is normal for installed programs. If that doesn't work I'd click and drag it to the left to near the Search icon to get it away from those I use the most.

Berton, you are correct - my Windows 7 experience for years has been Pin To Taskbar and Unpin From Taskbar. I'm pretty sure W10 behaves the same way.

No it doesn't because it's not pinned in the first place. The most I can do is minimize it but it still appears on my taskbar regardless.

What you are running is the Logitech Options App. I only run that when I want to check the mouse configuration.

You don't have to start it manually because it is automatically running all the time as a background task.

If I want to run the Logitech Options App I search for "options" and then select Logitech Options to run it.
When I am done I exit the app.

that's the problem. I realise my custom buttons assigned hotkeys don't work if LogiOptions is not running on my taskbar.

That is strange. I can reassign the buttons for my Logitech M510 mouse with LogiOptions but the changes work even when LogiOptions is closed.

Which Logitech mouse are you using and what is special about it that LogiOptions must be kept open?

I have the m330, m590, MX Master 2S on various desktops/laptops and ALL of them require LogiOptions to be open.

Anyway we are off topic already. Just want to keep the app out of sight, in the background completely.
