Announcing WinSetView (Tool to Globally Set Explorer Folder Views)

I've developed a tool for globally setting Explorer folder views. It's available now from here:

GitHub - LesFerch/WinSetView: Globally Set Explorer Folder Views

It can be run from the command line or from a point and click interface. The working part of the tool is written in PowerShell and the interface is an HTA (HTML/VBScript). Please see the readme at the link above for more details.

To download the script, go to the link above, click the green "Code" button, and choose "Download Zip".

    Here's a screenshot:

Not working for me as the buttons are missing so there's no way to apply or restore settings.

It looks like your display is set to 125%. You'll need to set it back to 100% temporarily to use the script:

I'll modify it to work at 125% and 150%. Almost got it... just a couple more tweaks.

@Callender, I just uploaded a new version that automatically adjusts for different screen scaling. Same download link. Please test on your machine and let me know how it goes. Thanks.

You can see my computer specs... I've noticed that very large media collections, can't handle more than...
name, date created and size, for column headings. Anything more and sorting by clicking on column headings, grinds things to a halt.

    I think it's working okay.

Still have to set Recycle Bin and, of course, CP/Programs and Features manually though.
