Create a copy of your music on the desktop to use and edit because anything you delete within Grove will also delete the original so be warned.
Create a playlist and name.
Find your folder by clicking on 'go to albums' then 'show us where to look for music'.
Find the folder and add it to music.
Here's where you can edit. I only added the image but you can do more.
Browse for image.
Here's the funny part. If you click on playlist, in this case Imagine Dragons. it will start the process again so leave alone. You'll need to click on 'My Music' for the album to show. So always work from a copy in case of a blunder. Have fun experimenting.
Thanks very much Fabler! I will give this a try. A friend here suggested last night that I download iTunes for Windows and add the audio track there (it's a compilation of our daughter's singing ... she's only 6 yrs old). Seems artwork can be easily added in iTunes and I will also check this route out. I used Audacity to splice them into an album (sort of) and want to add her photo as a cover, so it is really important work!! I will also try that.
It is possible as I have done so.
I may have to double check but I right click on the album & choose edit, click on the art square & add the album art .jpg from your PC. If you haven’t scanned the CD album cover it can usually be found using your favourite search engine>Images.
Thanks yet again Dalchina ... the mp3tag is very straightforward and the results are perfect. I have also accomplished the same results with iTunes but as mp3tag works directly within the Groove music app, it is faster and easier. Thank you!!
Thanks too Bastet ... I thought it would (and SHOULD) work that way too but it seems to have changed. There is no option to edit and right clicking on a single track only allows me to see the songs properties. Perhaps removed by Microsoft for some reason. In any event, the mp3tag app does the job nicely and has plenty of other features. Thanks!
Thanks Bastet. I have followed your suggestion and tried via Windows Media Player as well as again with Groove Music. but neither seems to work. My computer is quite old (7+ years) and I'm not sure how Windows updates the apps so perhaps mine are old as well. Anyhow, I have attached screen clips of both WMP and Groove with the right-click. Neither one seems to give me the "edit" option. Oddly enough, while doing the forum search initially before I made my post, there were quite a number of posts saying exactly what you had suggested and what seems to be very intuitive ... just right click & edit. I've got the right-click bit down to a science now but the absence of the "edit" bit is confusing. The app that Dalchina suggested is a good solution but it seems odd that neither WMP or Groove offer a solution. Thanks though ... I had forgotten about WMP completely!
