    read only folders

I noticed all my folders are now read only.
I went to Google and it seems many people have the same issue and are blaming the update on this.

I am assuming an update caused this.

Can you tell me about this and if MS plans to patch or fix this?

Nothing new about that at all... what functional difficulty are you experiencing?

Are they really read only, or have you only just noticed the check mark on the properties sheet?

Was the checkmark always there and I never noticed it? Or should it not be there but if functional wait for a fix?
    Thank you for the reply

There is so much written on the web as though it is a problem even when functional; I cannot believe there is such an outcry about a misconception.
Thank you, Denis, for helping me to put a misleading issue aside..
