    7-zip will not extract a zipped file


    Why wont 7-zip extract a zipped file I downloaded ?
    I am running Windows 10 version 20H2 on a new Dell laptop (XPS 15 7590)

    Maybe download is damaged? You can check with Windows explorer. zip files can be extracted with it

    What was the zip file? Perhaps it is corrupted, try downloading it again.

    What does 7-Zip say? If you try opening the .zip with 7-Zip File Manager do you see any error messages? If so, post a screenshot.

    There is no response, no anything. I don't know how to open with File Manager.

    Open 7-Zip, navigate to the ZIP file, right-click on it, and select "Open".
    It can be opened as shown below:

    I just followed your link, DL'd the file, scanned it to make sure no bugs, right-clicked it, and extracted with 7-Zip with no problems.

    You either have a bad Crystal Disk download from them, or your 7-Zip app is bad (unlikely). Delete the download and try again.

    Odd enough, but I had no issue extracting it, with or without opening it with file explorer or 7z file manager.
