    Photo/Video Import Application

I’m looking for an application that will work the way Google Picasa did for importing photos and videos from my phone to my computer. I don't want to use a web based syncing solution to run everything through the cloud.

Here’s what I want the application to handle.

    1) Specify the default root directory where the photos will be kept.

    2) Duplicates – don’t import any.

    3) Import photos and videos into a folder named for the date taken or create a new folder to do this. The folder name format would be YYYY-MM-DD. An example of this is “D:\<user>\pictures\2021-03-16”

So when this is setup I only have to plug my phone in and click on “Import” and everything is handled automatically.

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

First do this: Move Location of Pictures Folder in Windows 10

After moving to D: drive .... after importing.... click the down arrow on D: and click on your "user" name. Now click on pictures down arrow again. you should see year and month of each import.

Thanks for the response Jacee but I was hoping there was an app out there that was a little more flexible. Cheers.

I found that you can still download Picassa 3 at "it still works": How to Hook the Intellivision to a TV (3 Steps) | It Still Works

I'd forgotten how good Picassa was. Just downloaded it (v3.9) and unticked a few things on install (such as reporting home) and is working ok.
Download Picasa 3.9.10.4 for Windows - OldVersion.com checked with Defender.

Thanks guys I'll give it another go. Picassa was a great app. I was bummed when Google stopped developing it.
