I have that problem, now. I wanted to install Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10 (photo editor program) but it gets hung up as it wants or wants to install Internet Explorer 6. I haven't found any way around that.

I had the same issue but did manage to get Microsoft Picture It! 10 installed on Win10 Pro x64.

I have no idea whether this will help, but I can see from the error message and packaging that it is failing to install Adobe Air. This was abandoned by Adobe some time ago, but is now available from Harman: Adobe AIR SDK from HARMAN

It may be worth trying to install Air from that link, then trying your CD install again - I say that because the packaging does say that it will try to install Air if it is not already on your system.
