I was in the Microsoft Partner program for over 10 years, until they discontinued it, which gave ability to install most things on up to 10 computers, still have a few installs left for Win7 and Win8.x and Office 2010 and 2013.

For reliability testing purposes, installing Windows 10 onto a VM is not quite the same thing as installing it directly onto physical hardware. The cost of hardware Ramdisks is still a bit on the heavy side of the spectrum, but if you decide to go the software Ramdisk route after all, then I recommend Primo Ramdisk Server Edition.

I was a professional systems engineer at a large insurance company for a short while after I finished my formal degree in IT, but around the time when .NET came about I decided to become a Java Enterprise software dev because from a career perspective I got soon tired of the Mickeysoft type of vagueries, and EJB was a fatter paycheck with less nonsense. Most people on here wouldn't understand the fact that Java is a zillion times more than just another language so I don't tend to often bother to explain. I don't work with physical hardware anymore since it's all web based nowadays. But I do prefer Windows for all my hobby stuff.

I wonder if anyone has suggestions on RAMdisk programs that they like. I'm about to start putting together a new system but before I spend the money for 128GB of RAM I want to test some RAMDisk programs to make sure that they work as I need. If anyone has any suggestions for RAMDisk programs that they especially like, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Maybe a brief summary of what you especially like might be helpful as well.

I liked the RAM disk back in the '90s when copying data from floppies, could set it in the config.sys file to load at boot. Made it large enough for 5 floppies, about 8 to 10MB, copy files to it then delete individual files as desired then store back on floppies. Things got easier when the 100MB then 250MB ZIP drives came about.
