Windows Store, need to install LastPass Windows Desktop

I'm not sure what group to put this in...

Running LastPass. Their installer tries to install the Windows Desktop app. It fails. Over and over. Always the same error. I've tried umpteen ideas from the OTHER umpteen people that have problems with the thing, and so far, nothing. I've looked at tutorials in here but apparently I haven't found the right one, yet.

The error is: "Error" - thanks Microsoft. Details say "Code: 0x80073CF3" - much clearer...

I've got three Windows 10 systems here, two of them stock, and NONE of them appear to be able to get the Windows Store to install this software.

So far, Lastpass hasn't been useful.

I've deleted all the apps and reinstalled the store - at least I THINK that's what all the gibberish in Powershell was.

From the massive volume of complaints about the Microsoft Store I'm not sure why any company would be braindead enough to rely on it, but apparently LastPass does... HOW do I get this software on here?

    Try direct from the site
    Download LastPass | LastPass

The same free lastpass as from the Store

Do other store apps install OK
If not - can be third party AV or
do you by any chance use a Google DNS or similar
It is reported that it can be that

Another possible cause of that error is
The incoming package conflicts with an installed package.

So if the direct download does not solve it, - do you by chance have already installed any third party password management apps

Perhaps I stated it poorly in the original post.

THE FIRST THING I DID WAS INSTALL THE SOFTWARE USING THE LASTPASS INSTALLER! SEVERAL TIMES.

THE SECOND THING I DID WAS INSTALL THE SOFTWARE DIRECTLY FROM THE $%^& MICROSOFT STORE! SEVERAL TIMES. With exactly the same result EVERY time.

If I hadn't TRIED those things I wouldn't be asking in here...

I don't KNOW if other store apps install. As far as I know there aren't any on any of these systems. Certainly NOTHING I've ever found that I wanted to install. Is whether or not other things install relevant? I care about 1 thing. It doesn't install.
I do NOT knowingly use google DNS. I'm not even sure what that is.
And, I figured somebody would blame the anti-virus so I tried it with Bitdefender completely shut off. It still doesn't install.
Yes, I have a password management app - LastPass. I just don't have a functional Windows Desktop LastPass app...

I've run powershell scripts recommended in various discussions. I have no idea what they're doing, but so far nothing has made any difference.

Read a couple articles that went into great, horrific detail about the flaws and failures of the Microsoft Store, all of which claimed it utterly worthless and "urged" Microsoft to dump the POS and find a better way if they insist on doing whatever the Microsoft Store is SUPPOSED to be doing. The articles did NOT fill me with hope.

There is absolutely no need to "shout" and I have again read the post and I still cannot see any reference to an attempt to install direct from the site in the first place and from the Store in the second attempt.
Other than now you mention it, some manner of reading between the lines.

If you already have LastPass installed
Yes, I have a password management app - LastPass. I just don't have a functional Windows Desktop LastPass app...
for instance in another version of LastPass
    eg Edge or Chrome

then I suggest you uninstall it and start again.
