    onedrive dismiss not working

In either of the two spots to dismiss onedrive neither responds to dismiss. I do not want Onedrive involved with my files but it won't take no for an answer when I click the dismiss button.
Is yours acting the same way?

Hi. I am not sure what you mean by dismiss. If you open up task manager and go to start-up tab, you can see it listed there as running. So you can right click and disable and it wont run again.

I frequently see the Dismiss on the Windows Security page, works okay for awhile but tends to come back with a new Version and with some Build updates.

    I have the same issue.
I have a warning notification which leads to the security window.
It is asking me to set-up OneDrive.

    I do not want it.
I click the dismiss 'button', which is more of a link, really.
    This does nothing.

Although OneDrive is just one of the programs, everyone seems to be pushing us into the cloud and subscriptions. I think that can be both dangerous and costly. I prefer to run my own ship, so to speak. I like a program I can buy and install with support. I am not sure clouds are a safe way to go. Advertising and reality are two different things.
Yes, dismiss comes with each new upgrade.
Also every time I "safe" a file, it goes to the cloud unless otherwise directed.
    Did MS get outsourced?
I am all set now as I successfully continue the battle against both the cloud and subscriptions.

That is not what I meant.
The dismiss button stays there, regardless of updates. It is not functioning at all.
I click the dismiss button and nothing happens.

@Edaryion --I agree that you cannot remove it with a single click. For me after clicking on dismiss with nothing happening, when a bit of time goes by, it then disappears. If it never goes away, that is different. Go to start>right click- select Windows terminal (admin) then type sfc /scannow with a space after sfc. If no luck try the DISM commands -see Google as to how.
