    1. Go into your user folder and make a new folder named Icons. Put the .ico file in there.
    People-256.ico

    2. Paste this code to a .vbs file:
    Code:
    Dim strPath, strTarget, strArgs, strName, strIcon
    Dim objShell, objShortCut

    Set objShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")

    strPath = objShell.SpecialFolders("Desktop")
    strTarget = "explorer.exe"
    strArgs = "shell:AppsFolder\Microsoft.People_8wekyb3d8bbwe!x4c7a3b7dy2188y46d4ya362y19ac5a5805e5x"
    strName = "People"
    strIcon = objShell.ExpandEnvironmentStrings("%USERPROFILE%") & "\Icons\People-256.ico"

    Set objShortCut = objShell.CreateShortcut(strPath & "\" & strName & ".lnk")
    objShortCut.TargetPath = """" & strTarget & """"
    objShortCut.Arguments = strArgs
    objShortCut.IconLocation = strIcon
    objShortCut.Save
    Set objShell = Nothing
    Set objShortCut = Nothing
    3. Run the .vbs file to create a People shortcut onto your desktop. Pin the shortcut to Start.

    You can simply create a shortcut to People by linking the shortcut to ms-people:

    You can also search for People and pin it to Start or the Taskbar

    I can confirm that my .vbs script from my previous post above still works after I replace "shell:AppsFolder\Microsoft.People_8wekyb3d8bbwe!x4c7a3b7dy2188y46d4ya362y19ac5a5805e5x" with "ms-people:" in it.

    My problem was that, although my tile was still working, I could drag it to my desktop to create a shortcut before unpinning/re-pinning it to Start, which got rid of the 'ms-resource:AppListName' for me, and the tile was still working after that also, but now the tile was blank. So I did some digging, and finally ended up creating this simple workaround that uses VBScript to restore the icon after it went missing from my tile. The issue occurred when I switched my Windows 10 Home x64 20H2 from Dutch languague to U.S. English and back again.
