    Microsoft Photos Giving Errors

    This is the error:

    Microsoft Photos Giving Errors-error.png

I cannot open any picture files and it looks like Microsoft Photos is corrupted. I didn't have this problem yesterday. When I go to the Microsoft Store and try to reinstall Photos, it doesn't work. A screen will pop up for a fraction of a second then close. I checked online for a solution and it said to uninstall Photos and reinstall it through the store. So, I uninstalled it by using Windows PowerShell and then tried again to reinstall it through the store..... And of course, it still doesn't work.

When I tried to reinstall it using PowerShell, it said something about Window's Firewall being deactivated and that I need to turn that on first before installing Photos. This is very strange because I have Malwarebytes and that's pretty much my firewall. I've had it for a few weeks now and never had this kind of problem. I wonder what corrupted Photos. Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem?

I do. My desktop is extremely organized (at least to me), lol. I cannot work if it is messy w/ files and folders all over the place. I noticed that Snip & Sketch app is also giving errors. Just like Photos. Paint and Paint 3D work just fine though.

In the start list right click Photos, more and App settings. Try a reset or repair from there.

Sadly, I uninstalled Photos because I wanted to try reinstalling it. Now I can't get it back. When I go the Microsoft Store and try to reinstall Photos, a box will either pop up for a split second or it will give an error saying to turn of the firewall. I have Malwarebytes installed and that's in place of the Windows firewall. When I uninstalled Malwarebytes and rebooted, I still cannot download Photos. And when I tried to turn on the firewall, it won't let me. I do have a backup system image I was thinking about using but I've never done that before. I know what to do but I would rather try to fix this issue. What's a good alternative to Photos? Certain photo apps on the Microsoft Store will not work for some reason. Like 123 Photo Viewer.

    Hi,
You must of messed with it again and it's broken
So redo the personalize/ desktop image in the theme again and all should be good pointing to the new location.

Tried all that. Still doesn't work. I had a system image saved on an external HDD back from Dec. 27, 2020 and I used that to restore Windows 10. Only took 20 min. Everything is working great now. Though I still don't know what caused those errors in the first place. I really appreciate all the help you guys gave me and you won't be forgotten. Thanks!
