    Telegram Desktop Social Media

I have download Telegram Desktop to my pc, phone, tablet and soon, my laptop. This social media guarantees total privacy unlike FB and whatsapp. It takes a little getting used to but I already have one group (military) up and running. Having been banned on FB for three times now, for VERY petty things, I think its time to leave there. Telegram looks like it will do what Parley couldn't do - survive.

    Anyone here on Telegram?

When signing up they send a code, that's so you can operate Telegram on either laptops, pc's, tablets and phones perfectly, and when clicking on the icon, takes me directly to my homepage. There is no censorship like FB, no information is collected so none shared. And they are so sure of their security, they offer $300,000 to anyone who can hack in.

I have just registered as well, but it seems, that unless you get an invite, it is virtually impossible to find a group or anything of interest, it is even worse than on Discord. But it will probably change soon, since millions of users have moved to Signal/Telegram in the past few days.

I have created one group and have plans for a couple more. I have 2 members already in this group. I sent them a 'go here' link and they arrived. It takes a bit of getting used to but worth it, better than letting certain people dictate to the masses.

You got a link to this SM thing? I looked for it but all I see is Telegram....a PM/Text messaging service.

Well I found it....it's just a messaging app and you need a mobile to use it which I don't have. So it's a no go for me.

It just like FB, you can watch news, comment, join groups, etc, but yes, you need SMS to login.

I have been using Telegram since the week before FB was applying the changes to its policy.
And since I moved out FB/WhatsApp I have been very happy with it.
