    I routinely turn off virtually everything in Settings > Privacy > Background apps without any apparent issues. I let Weather run, purely because I like to see the current weather on the live tile in my Start menu. These are all I ever let run in the background....

    Probably, but I prefer to turn off automatic store app updates anyway, just manually updating the ones I use.

    Boy, Windows 10 seems to have easier user control goodies than Windows7! I'm stuck with msconfig, autorun, BillP Studio's Scotty.

Hi, I have set the option "Show Windows Background on the sign in screen" in personalization -> Lock screen to true and I changed my wallpaper. The sign in screen keeps the default blue sign in background. This occurs on my PC and my laptop....
