    Multimedia Player

    Hello,
My multimedia files default player is "MPC-HC". A day or two ago it stopped playing .swf files.
I did not uninstall the Adobe flash player yet.
Searched the internet - could not find an answer, so I'm asking the experts. (Well, its not a windows direct issue)
    Answers will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Motim

    Program's version = MPC-HC 1.9.8.115
PS. I tried to install a previous version , no results.

On the homepage of MPC-HP it says "MPC-HC is not under development since 2017. Please switch to something else"

I Understand it is still updated by others, but why not use VLC player?

MS has probably released the update to remove the integrated flash.

My MPC-HC 32 & 64 bit, are part and parcel of K-Lite Codec Mega downloads, and I also do have VLC. The suggestion to click all defaults for VLC is a good one! I kept the other nonVLCs for the usage of specific files.

Hello and thanks for the answer.
Just now connected to the internet and saw your answer. But some minutes ago I sent all my .swf files to the recycle bin and cleared it.
Is there some way to try and "un-delete" them without using any program to install first ?

    Thanks

It's because some of 'HTPC' buffs─myself included─vastly prefer to use the advanced featureset that MPC-HC offers, such as LAV Filters, for example. That plus the fact it consumes the least possible amount of processing power that we need in order not to overheat our low TDP/underclocked systems and/or to be able to improve performance of madVR rendering capabilities of course.
