Yes, looks good. Destination should be a folder on your external USB drive.

If your HDD still works, you can run Macrium from it to restore the image.

If your HDD is corrupted, unbootable, or outright dead, you must run Macrium from the bootable Macrium recovery media USB flash drive...........which you should make immediately after installing Macrium.

If your hard drive fails and you can't boot your laptop at all, you can't restore the image.

Doesn't need to be a folder, but it could be. You can save the image file anywhere it will fit, EXCEPT on a partition contained in the image. Most likely external USB or a second internal drive.

Image files are quite large....20, 50, 100 gb. It depends on how much is on the partitions in the image.

Folders are more meaningful than putting at top level

    Yeah, I use D:\images

OP: you CANNOT save the image on C because C is part of the image.

Test it immediately. It's useless if it won't boot the PC.

Make a new one periodically. Maybe keep 2 of them.

Did make a bootable Macrium recovery media USB flash drive., but it does not boot up with it, going in to windows, will look for a other usb drive to test it again.
