LTSC excludes the Store amongst other things, as I assume you know:
Compare Windows 10 Editions
May I ask- is this a company PC? How is it you are using LTSC?Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC
Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB (Long Term Servicing Channel) is like Windows 10 Enterprise but will not receive any feature updates, gives companies more control over the update process and is the most stripped down edition of Windows 10 available. It lacks the following applications and features:
- Store including most modern apps like Xbox, Contacts, etc. There are only four remaining modern apps: Contact Support, Search, Settings and Windows Feedback
- Cortana
- Edge
If it is, I would be wary of doing things that might contradict company policy, and policies set by your company.
There are guides out there which claim to add the Store to LTSC; if you indeed have the right to do such a thing, then those guides could be your best recourse.
Others here may view this differently.
Consumer's Windows 10 version does updates all the time and sometimes it destroys Windows 10. That's why I use ltsc.
Thank you very much for replying.
The methods to control Windows update have been described here time and again- there's a whole tutorial on disabling WU with a free utility in Option 7.
Enable or Disable Windows Update Automatic Updates in Windows 10
For several years there have been free utilities to disable WU and let you manually scan for and select updates.
Once again-- I don't know how many times I've listed these:
Windows Update Manager - WUMgr
WUMT - Windows Update Minitool
Sledgehammer - script that includes both those.
Pro users have had more control - defer feature upgrades, set updates to Notify.
MS has introduced some attempt to mitigate effects by making upgrades 'opt-in' (but not 100% reliable it seems) and driver updates are now optional too.
