no windows apps working or windows store

Hi, I know it's probably my fault but I think I've broken the windows store and all windows apps.
The windows apps folder had several hundred gigabytes of space taken up by failed installations of games/games that wouldn't uninstall so I used a guide to gain permission to delete files in the windows apps folder however I think I may have also deleted essential components by mistake as now the windows store and any windows apps all fail to open either with an error message such as 'the app didn't start' or they open briefly for a fraction of a second and then vanish completely.

How can I reset the functionality of the windows store and apps? I have tried the powershell commands to restart/reinstall the store and also the repair and reinstall options under settings>apps and features with no luck.
