    Blu Ray Software

My DVD/CD player/recorder is acting up so decided to get a new one for my pc. Price for an 'ordinary' one 48x DVD/CD Write/Re write etc etc is £17.99. But if I want a blu ray one its £79.99 cheapest. But when I read the reviews, that buyers are annoyed because they have to buy software, and its not cheap!!!! I think I'll go for the x48 P&P.

VLC as well as 5kplayer (both free) can play bluray.
or at least most of them if you have a bluray player.
Blank disks are usually have special ordered as most shops
don't really carry them. Usb flash drives kinda ruined the
    market.
I would say if your only getting the bluray for watching
then you should go with a standalone version.
for the computer add a basic dvd or replace it with a SSD

You can buy internal read / write BluRay drives from about £60 in the UK e.g. from Scan and Novatech.
