hmm Glary is commercial software, I'm not sure about the ethics of calling it shareware.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded and installed it OK using a false email address. You are offered bundled software but can opt out when you install. The license is valid for 12 months. I didn't see much of interest given that I know how to use the Windows utilities and I also use Wise Disk Cleaner and Autoruns.

I ended up uninstalling it and noted it left behind a few entries I had to zap using Autoruns.

So the email address is not used in order to activate it then?

The invalid email address I gave was entered as my username and it worked! I was expecting to have to give and validate a working email address.

Seems the registration code is all that is required - as any user name seems to work...
the code is stated as valid for a year - but it is a common Giveaway on SharewareOnSale
It even allows program version updates - most do not allow version updates and are only valid for that certain Giveaway version..
