Recent update removed a startup app

Yesterday Microsoft updated me to 2004 build 19041.630. Windows considerately told me that it had removed my 8 gadget pak from startup. I still have my 8gadget pak, and I can find it by clicking on the start menu, scrolling to the 8gadget pak and then clicking the drop down to the "gadgets" name, and then click on it and it runs.

I dragged the "gadgets" to "start," which resulted in that icon being placed there, but this did not make them run on startup. I then checked the list of startup apps that can be turned on and off and it is not listed.

I love the CPU meter and the slideshow and have put a number of photos I love in the slideshow. I'll jump through the hoops and start it anyway, but can I go back to getting it to just run at startup?

Thank you, OldNavyGuy, I tried that several times but had missed a step. I got the file into the startup folder and surely it will work on the next startup.

When ever I upgrade to a new build I get a link on my desktop that does a repair of 8GADGET pack.

Winuser, do you have to request this link or does it just appear?

Today the Microsoft instructions I received from OldNavyGuy worked, but it also put up the "Tools" menu from the 8gadget pak that I had to close. Before Windows updated I just got my two selected gadgets, which is what I wanted.

Just right click on the desktop, select gadgets and it offers to repair itself on my system. This appears to include repairing the "start with windows" setting.
