How To Remove Winamp Context [Right-Click] Menus?

    hello

After right clicking an MP3 file, I get:

    Add to Winamp's Bookmark List

    How do I remove these?

    Please create a registry file

    Thanks

First check Winamp's own options. You may be able to remove it there:
Winamp Preferences: General Preferences – Shoutcast
Windows Explorer Menu Control: Allows you to choose which Winamp-related entries appear in the right-click context menus for folders and for filetypes associated with Winamp. This option is useful for removing eg. 'Add To Winamp's Bookmark List' but keeping 'Play in Winamp', 'Enqueue in Winamp', etc. There are two separate lists in the selection box, one for Associated File Types (top list), and the other for Folders (bottom list). Note that you can remove all menu entries for folders by unchecking 'Show Winamp in folder context menus in Windows Explorer' via the File Types page in Winamp Preferences. But this extra option here allows you to remove/keep individual entries to suit your personal taste. Be careful if deselecting eg. 'Enqueue in Winamp' if Enqueue is set as the default action on the File Types page, because this could result in you having no default action set...
If not, context menu entries added by 3rd party programs can usually be disabled quite readily using e.g. Shellexview (free).

Just Google that, download it, run it, tick the check box for that entry.

Hi Raeeka, check dalchina's post #2 first. He responded while I was composing.

To delete context menu items, look at ShellExView from NirSoft.

As I first advised, try Winamp's own options before using any 3rd party program.

Which version of winamp are you using? There are several- download link please?

If you want to see more context menu options, try Autoruns (free from MS). This lets you see much more- choose the right category as it also shows all startups.

From the URL I gave you it also says before the text I quoted
Shell Options - Note: This subpage is added by the Jump To File Extra plugin (gen_jumpex.dll).

I.e. you would need to install that plugin. This looks to be only available for one Winamp build:

Click the explorer tab and look for the context menu sections.

Or simpler - use its find box and try to find winamp.

Ok, so Autoruns doesn't show these- presumably added by hooking in to explorer rather than via the registry.

    You have two Winamp options:
    a. on installation.

    b. from the program, as I originally suggested: see the ticked option.

    Untick it.
