    Free Spreadsheet (Other Than Libre) Suggestions ?


    Hello,

    Thanks for all the previous help.

    Might someone please suggest a W10 Free spreadsheet program that
    they like ?

    Have tried Libre Office, works kinda, but I have problems with it doing
    what I want.

    To cheap for MS Office with their Excel.

    Any suggestions ?

    I personally use => Apache OpenOffice

    It has all the applications Office offer and is Office compatible.

    Hate to be a pest, but I looked at the Apache site.
    Wow !..
    Not as sharp with this "stuff" as I should be.

    Can't figure out what to click on to simply download it.

    What link will simply download it (to my Mac, and also to W10 pc) ?

    The only real issues I've seen with LibreOffice and documents created in other applications has been with embedded Macros, 'fancier' ones don't always work the same. The Calc of LibreOffice worked pretty well with the Excel documents coming out of QuickBooks Pro when I was Treasurer for out church. Didn't have much problem with Quattro Pro [Corel] either except for some Macros. I got started with Lotus 1-2-3 back about '93, Lotus SmartSuite 9.8 still works on my Win10 Version 1909 computer.

    You may find the same in Open Office then, they have a shared heritage. LibreOffice is a fork of Open Office, it's development split away from Open Office in 2010.

    Here are some other alternatives. I''m happy with my LibreOffice so haven't tried them, but I hear that Free Office and WPS Office are two that look very similar the the MS product.

    WPS free/paid is probably the best, but free version is overflowing with ads. I stick with "dumber" FreeOffice.

Hello I'm at a loss with this. I recently had a HD failure which has required a new HD and a fresh install of W10. I lost the Windows office style extra that I had with the pc and don't seem able to re-install it so I got LibreOffice to allow me...
Following the Creators Update installation Libre Office portable won't open from my standard user account. Double clicking a .doc file neither launches Libre Office. Running it with administrative privileges opens it but not without an error...
Am set up now and wanting to add some software for copying to and playing audio from the Music library now that WMP is not in 10. So any suggestions welcome :)
