Speccy stuck analyzing

I was told to post a speccy snapshot on another forum to troubleshoot a freezing issue with Final Fantasy XIV but I am unable to do so.

Despite the fact that I have an 8 core processor and 16 GB of ram, speccy always gets stuck on "analyzing" indefinitely. I have waited over 20 minutes three times now and it never seems to be able to gather the information it seems.

I Googled 'speccy stuck analyzing' but despite the fact that Google recognized the search and provided next word suggestions, nothing relevant came up. Only results pertaining to CCleaner came up and nothing about speccy being stuck analyzing.

On a much less powerful Windows 7 PC, Speccy takes just a few minutes. I should not have to wait 20+ minutes on a PC with an 8 core processor if a Windows 7 PC with a duo core and loaded with tons of stuff can do it in a few minutes

This PC is an HP Envy 17 j177nr

Hi, if Speccy runs in Safe Mode, you could boot to Safe Mode and try that.

Otherwise you could use tools like the Task Manager and Process Explorer from MS to try to deduce what's happening.

Another option would be to perform a clean boot (Google or see tutorial if unsure) and then try Speccy.
