Your Phone can't see my Bluetooth (connected Phone)

Your Phone can't see my Bluetooth (connected Phone)-yourphonebluetoothphoneerror.png

    Hi All,

The attached screenshot says it all. I have a Huawei Mate 10 android phone bluetooth connected to my Windows 10 machine. The "Your Phone" app has connected to the phone but claims that my PC has no bluetooth. I have dragged my bluetooth devices window (replete with my phone's current bluetooth connection) over the Your Phone app to show the inconsistency between what Your Phone is saying and what Windows 10 is saying. Has anybody got any ideas why Your Phone can't see my bluetooth connection?

    Hi FreeBooter,

Thanks for responding. Yes I've already tried that and noted that this one doesn't have an answer:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...e-c9d43f31e9c6

And I've tried all the generic bluetooth connection tips here:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...tooth-problems

But my phone is actually connected and Windows 10 can see the phone via Bluetooth. So those tips didn't really seem to apply to me. But I tried them nonetheless and, as expected, they didn't help the "Your Phone" app detect my Bluetooth nor my phone. It seems to be a bug in the Your Phone app unless there's something else that is blocking it that I don't know about. That's why I posted here to the Windows gurus who might know how a bluetooth connection can be blocked from detection by a Windows app.

    Hi Freebooter,

Yes I've already tried reinstalling the Your Phone app on both the Windows PC and on the Android phone. And clearing the caches on the phone, and resetting and repairing the Your Phone app. None of it made a difference.

Do we know of any apps that "capture" the bluetooth phone like I know some apps capture audio services?

You can check and see bluetooth services set to Manual (Trigger Start).
