microsoft store wont download apps

    microsoft store wont download apps


    running windows 10 pro version 2004 - microsoft store shows install on apps but when i click install nothing happens. i have tried wsreset, sfc /scannow, resetting app data in settings, logging in and out od ms store, none of these have fixed my problem.

    i have tried re-registering microsoft store. didnt work
    history: had windows version 1903 and got corrupt system files so i updated to a newer version hoping it would fix some of them and it did. ran sfc/scannow to fix the rest of corrupt files.windows store never worked since.

    btw when i got to settings in store and my library i can install games i already own from there with no problem.

    Thank you for your reply.

    If you create a new user for test purposes, and log in as that user, does Store work then?
    If it does, the problem is specific to your account rather than the whole of Windows.

    i have been looking for people with similar problems but none of the solutions helped me i think im going to reset windows and see if that helps. anyway thank you for replying and trying to help me ill let you know if resetting windows worked

    In-place repair install is less destructive. Have you tried that?

    Somehow your O/S is damaged- I've never seen these things personally. Unfortunately we don't know exactly what the damage is or how it was caused.

    This is why protecting your system using disk imaging regularly and system restore points (great when they work) etc is so important.
