    It works. You might get a message saying the installation has failed when in fact it has installed and works.

    I have it installed and I'm on 2004, just ran it. There was a message about slow drivers ? I ignored it and proceeded to load a video and edit it. Saved it and all worked just fine.

    Which version of Windows Movie Maker? There have been quite a few. The most recent was part of Windows Essentials 2012. That one I use regularly in 2004 without any issues.
