List file names than a folder.

Is there a bat file to generate the list of file names that I have inside a folder?
If possible you can help me to do it or give me suggestions. Thanks in advance.

    Please.

    Hi, try
Download Karen's Directory Printer - MajorGeeks

At a command prompt, somewhat obscurely,

    where .:*.*
lists files in the current directory, but will also list any hidden files.

I have just put this together for YOU => List_Folder_Files.bat.

You need to put it in whatever directory you want to produce the list of files.

    I hope this helps!

    Good call dalchina.

Karens Directory Printer works pretty good, just tried it. Along with a GUI menu it adds a File Explorer right click Context Menu entry called Print with DirPrn that calls the GUI menu which gives you a lot of control over what you see and the output. Output goes to

    %userprofile%\appdata\local\Karen's Power Tools\Directory Printer

I find the easiest method is to just add it as an option to the context menu (using a REG file). This way I can just right-click on a folder and choose the Copy FILE list to Clipboard option:

List file names than a folder.-copy_file_list_to_clip.png

This copies a list of just filenames to the clipboard which I can then paste into Notepad or whatever. As an alternative you can choose a file list with additional info (date/time/filesize):

List file names than a folder.-file_list_comparison.png

    1. Download/unzip this Context menu-Copy_file_list_to_clipboard.zip file. It contains 2 REG files:

Context menu - Copy FILE list to Clipboard - ADD.reg
Context menu - Copy FILE list to Clipboard inc. Details - ADD.reg

    2. Double-click on whichever REG file you prefer, accept the User Account Control prompt and merge it into the registry (or merge both REG files to give yourself both options).

    That's it. Hope this helps...

Thanks for the suggestion I have obtained the list of the names of my folders, I have another question, you can.
Or rather to customize several music files with the ending of a custom name.

It is possible to switch to multiple files with a bat or exampleslash (custom name)blue (custom name)white (custom name)pizarron (custom name)table (custom name)

Perhaps you could share what method you used, whether it was the code I wrote for you or some other method!
This will help members who come across this thread that have the same question.

    Thanks.
