    Skype for Business keeps starting on restart. Tried common solutions.


    Skype for Business (SFB) keeps starting on startup.
    Internet research told me to get into startup options from O/S level and de-select SFB.
    Done, but did not fix the problem.

    Next, I found I was to navigate via tools/tools/options to the personal page, and uncheck these boxes:
    1. "Automatically start the app when I log on to Windows"
    2. "Start the app in foreground"

    Done, but did not fix the problem.

    What else could cause this behavior?

    I had skype (normal) that the store had installed me automatically. From "windows settings> applications> startup" disable skype (which you have already done).
    Or launch the task manager "right click on the taskbar> task manager> start tab" disable skype.

    If that doesn't work uninstall and reinstall skype for business

    In the application there is no option to start at startup?

    install msconfig for windows 8 and 10 from winaero. then disable it from running classic system configuration. it has some options that the task manager does not display (its the old msconfig from windows 7)...
