    WordPad Spell Check

Why is there no spell check on Word Pad? It should be the most important feature on any document app???

There is no Spell Check in Wordpad or Notepad.

But you can copy and paste the text somewhere else that does have spell check, like your email. Or even on here.

/e Another option is to just use the free Open Office.

I've gotten into the habit of using Grammarly Mostly because my grammar, spelling, and punctuation suck! In other words, I can't type worth a damn.

Many would not agree with that.

There are 1001 good and useful features that could be added to Wordpad. Features that people have asked for and are practical to implement. They could be added. But then Wordpad would not be what it was designed to be, a relatively simple program for people with simple needs.

If Wordpad doesn't have what you want there are plenty of alternatives, many of them free.

I thought that I used to see spelling suggestions in TenForums but I don't anymore.
    - I have checked in two browsers but don't get mis-spolling indications in either of them.
    - I have checked in my profile but cannot see anythign to do with spilling.

    What am I overlooking?

I honestly don't know. When I misspell something on tenforums, it looks just like if I did it in email or in Office.
Underlined in squiggley red. Which I can then right click and see the spell checker's suggestions.

IN Settings, I checked General Settings and Settings... and I don't see anything related to spell check.

In fact, IN Settings, since I joined tenforums, the ONLY things I messed with was my avatar, signature, system specs and profile. Oh yeah, and I turned off all the email notifications.

Maybe when you get to be a one star Guru, they take away the spell checker.

Also, I'm on the latest Firefox.

    I don't think that it's a site bug.

In Firefox you must have a dictionary installed and spell check enabled.
