How can i back up my 'Winamp Playlist' ? Wont play if i save it

    Hi, I have 'Winamp' installed ( v 5.8 ) ... ( Windows 10 pro )
I cant seem to Save a Playlist to a USB or other folder ..
I can make a shortcut, and save okay .. but the ORIGINAL Playlist file only works from where i have it saved on my PC ... I cannot copy ORIGINAL Playlist file and save it elsewhere, as it just scrolls through files without playing ... basically, if my 'E' drive ( where ORIGINAL Playlist file is saved ) ever goes Kaput, i havent got a back up of it ( I only can back up 'Shortcuts of the file { Useless if my computer ever goes bad ! ) HELP !!!!!

Just export it and name it whatever you like.

I can even open an exported WinAmp playlist in AIMP.

So you click on your exported playlist .m3u8 file and choose "open with" whatever.

again ONLY Shortcut plays , ( NOT Original File )

    Hi, Thanks for reply ..
It does not work ... I dont see your 'Winamp' view, i must be using a different version .. see ATTACHED pics ...also
I put the 2 files ( Actual & Shortcut ) onto a USB stick .. the shortcut plays instantly, the ACTUAL ( Copy ) of Original, just scrolls through songs without playing ..I then tried 'Open With Winamp' , again ONLY Shortcut plays , ( NOT Original File )

Well I'm using Quinto Black skin but that shouldn't make any difference. Right click and enable media library and other components.

    Or just try AIMP.

One you've got media library displayed load a playlist and click "manage playlist" to get export option.

You can rename the exported file.

Maybe try a different skin as I'm not using default.

Perhaps enable built in classic skin:

Right-click on the title bar of the main window of Winamp to pop up the menu and then left-click on Skins then switch back to the default skin.

    I see this:

Also click where the arrow is pointing for options.

Apparently there's an option to check on install for skin support. If you installed without that option then it could be a problem.
