Crucial Storage Executive are installed, but I can't open the app!

lol nope to add to this i updated my firmware with version 6.06 don't do not do its messes it up please wait , version 6.09 is being fixed . this is what i was told in a email nice of them to inform after the fact.

The firmware P2CR010 for the P2 drive is the originally released firmware with this drive which had the SMART reporting issue. P2CR012 is the latest firmware version which has the fix for this issue, however, if your firmware was updated in Storage Executive using any other version of Storage Executive other than 6.09, the firmware did not actually update, but instead only updated the version.

We are working through an issue with this firmware update at this time, and we have already escalated your case to our Engineering team. We have already requested them to provide us with an alternative method for you to be able to update your firmware. Once we have information for this, we will update you with the same.

I would follow @ignatzatsonic's advice in post #3.

We didn't really see much benefit, so we uninstalled it.

they pulled it from the website. it was messed up .

I know! Had the exact same issue as you: Upon ""updating"" the firmware to P2CR012 in 6.06, Storage Executive told me that my drive was 65k celsius (slightly unbelievable). Storage Executive now doesn't provide any thermal data, and no longer recognises it as a Crucial drive for updates. Let me know how you get on with their customer support!

My one drive now the backup one a MX500 500GB is an OEM drive? ..............funny it shouldn't be shows M3CR023 OEM FW

I have asked them about my 500GB drive showing OEM by texting as they don't seem to have an email for trouble just a chat thing
