    Microsoft Money and Windows 10

I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 Professional, everything was working fine except as you all know, Money wouldn't work. I went back to Windows 7. Now I see that the problem seems to be fixed.
My question is as follows: If I download and install Windows 10 again, are there any leftovers from the previous install that would once again prevent Money from working?

I'd remove it from Windows 7 before updating again, back up your Money File. Then install it fresh in Windows 10.

Is there a hotfix for money that gets downloaded with your updates? If that's the case, then don't install Money until you've updated to 10 again, and then don't open it until after it downloads any money hotfixes.

I did exactly everything suggested here in this thread, did a clean install of Money Plus after windows 10 was installed, tried to open up my backup money file from the flash drive, asked me again for a password, unable to open my Money files since I have no clue what the password is/was.
