Lost shortcut for Intel Data Migration Software

On another topic, I mentioned that Intel RST was making my BD/DVD drive disappear. I also read that the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management was playing havoc with users' systems.

I uninstalled Intel RST and gained use of the SSD attached to the Optane board. I partitioned it with Windows Disk Management.

I tried to install the Intel Data Migration Software, but the installer said that it was already installed. I cannot find a shortcut to start the software, nor can I find it in either "C:\Program Files\Intel" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel". It does not show up in Windows Control Panel "Programs and Features" or the Apps and Features list.

Does anyone know where the *.exe file is? I can create a shortcut from there.

The system is a Dell XPS 8920 with Windows 10 Home.

    Not quite solved

I have the 'free' copy of Windows 10 on a second internal hard drive on my Dell Inspiron 530 (built April 2009). I reconfigured the BIOS on that machine so I could boot into Windows 10.

I installed Intel Data Migration Software there to see what it looked like. Neither the directory ("Folder") nor any of the files on the Inspiron 530 appear on the XPS 8920. How the application can be "already installed", and why I cannot find a way to uninstall it remains a mystery.

I did install the "Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management" application (the replacement for Intel RST). It reclaimed the Intel SSD, so by now the point of finding out how to start
the Intel Data Migration Software is moot. I am marking this as "solved", although it is not.
