Notepad has gone missing

I did try the tutorial uninstall notepad using the power shell command but when l tried to install notepad from the windows store the install button was not operational grey out but l got working again and installed using the media creator tool and installed windows again a bit of a pain but all working ok and got notepad again.

OP got it working with Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

If anyone else has Notepad missing, double check to make sure it's installed (added) in Option features like in option 1 below.

Aren't some or all of these features installed with an initial W10 build?

Normally, it is. Something with this update made it get uninstalled for some for some reason.
