I guess you'll just have to search... and when you find something suitable... do let us know! Thanks.

Winrar supports theming: e.g. - but not free, unless you find a giveaway...

That is a hell of a long article, not going to read it, nor have time for it. You can tell me in short, what does it say.
It took me less than one minute to read. Anyway based on your requirements unless you have understood how to configure it you will be served ads and cookies will be used to deliver ads based on the websites that you visit.

    Then they collect:
Basic information of files, such as the file name, format, path and character of files, and MD5 checksums of files.

How about WinRAR? It does everything. It's nicely integrated with Explorer. No defects.
But I've had it for so long that I cannot remember whether it's a freebie or not.

Ugh, this sucks, but at least, if I configure, I can turn off ads if I understood correctly.

WinRAR isn't free or I would give it a try. I don't want to pay for software, where similar software exists, just lacks one feature I need. I better wait.

That interface looks very old, something from 90's and absolutely abysmal. Design matters for me. This interface isn't acceptable for me in 2020.

7-Zip is open source, as are many others. Try one that takes the technology of several and bundles then in a prettier package, such as PeaZip.

PeaZip is a free cross-platform file manager / archive manager software that provides unified portable GUI for many Open Source technologies as 7-Zip, FreeArc, PAQ, UPX... free alternative to WinRar, WinZip and similar proprietary software.
    - Create 7Z, ARC, BZ2, GZ, *PAQ, PEA, QUAD/BALZ, TAR, UPX, WIM, XZ, ZIP files
    - Open and extract ACE, ARJ, CAB, DMG, ISO, LHA, RAR, UDF, ZIPX files and more, over 200 archive types supported
Features of PeaZip includes: archives browser / explorer, integrated image viewer, batch creation and extraction of multiple archives at once, convert files, create self-extracting archives, split and join files, strong encryption with two factor authentication, encrypted password manager, secure deletion, find duplicate files, calculate hash and checksum, export job definition as script.

Ah, the dark theme request. It may be difficult to find anything else that can respond correctly to W10 Dark Theme....
    PeaZip said:
Windows 10 Dark Mode colors are not passed from system to application: querying a W10 system for UI colors currently get light mode colors in response even when dark mode is active. This implementation of dark theming is unique to Windows 10.
As workaround it is possible to set an High Contrast theme, which passes colors consistent with Dark Mode UI, until a complete API is made available to developers, or W10 is fixed in order to correctly pass real UI colors values to applications when queried (as every other operating system does).

It may be possible to create an acceptably dark custom theme....

    Customizing PeaZip themes
To further customize themes, or to remove unwanted themes, “Manage Themes” opens the path containing themes, that is located in user’s application data for installable versions or inside PeaZip’s folder for portable versions.
Theme’s graphic can be edited with any graphic files editor capable of working with 32 bit PNG with transparence, and theme.txt can be edited as UTF-8 text.

I was always using Bandizip, because it was doing it's job well, didn't have ads and had a modern, nice design, but recently they put ads in their latest version and I don't want to use it anymore. I tried to look for alternatives, but sadly I have a hard time to find any good looking free archivers. 7Zip users some ancient, XP era interface which is ugly as hell and don't wanna use it. The only good looking what I found was ZIP archiver 4 from hammersoft, but then I found articles where people say, it had in built trojan virus or something and I don't wanna use it. The only archiver that looks not so bad that I found so far is PeaZip, but it's still not very good looking. Lacks dark mode and doesn't change icons of archivers. Any other options?
    I guess Info-Zip's unzip.exe is not sexy either :)

    You didn't mention Winzip

I guess we're through the popular ones ..

Are RAR files still being used a lot ? I mean, WinRAR by default will try to make RAR files, no ?

... and ask them if the RAR format is still used ?

    Are you joking ?
Mind you, they didn't answer that question in your screenshot. Did they ?

Which answer did, according to you ?
