Microsoft Photos broken on local user account.

The MS Photos app is broken on my local user account. It appears dark in the start menu and won't open. In Settings/Apps when I try to run a "repair" on MS Photos the working circle spins endlessly. In the admin account it repairs instantly.

How can I repair MS Photos on the local account?

This is what Photos looks like in the start menu:

Try uninstalling then reinstalling the Photos app:

To Remove Specific Windows Apps from Current Account in PowerShell

Step 2 tells you how to get a list of apps in a txt file to make it easy to find the one you want (Photos). For me it's
    Microsoft.Windows.Photos Microsoft.Windows.Photos_2019.19081.22010.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

To Reinstall and Re-register Specific App for Current Account

Thanks. I did fix it by removing the MS photos app with powershell.

Glad to hear it. I don't use it so have never had a problem with it. Still using good old Windows Photo Viewer.
