Photoshop (and Ex Photoshop) users try The GIMP

Hi folks
I never implied that people who need to use Photoshop etc on a professional basis should switch or even as a "Photoshop Alternative" -- I'm suggesting to only people who probably had it in the days where it wasn't a subscription product or have really old releases e,g Photoshop 5 that this is a Free very capable program that probably does as much as any even serious amateur shooter needs --albeit with some re-learning.

It's extremely rare to find alternatives to robust tools designed for professionals for any software so if I gave the impression that pros could switch it wasn't my intention -- I'm merely pointing out that there are good serious products out there which can perform some of the most common functions of the professional products --other specialized bits aren't likely to be in common use by "casuals".

Yeah gimp and Inkscape is cool started out using these years ago before win-10 was a thing.
I moved to corel draw.. more but I still use gimp on machines I don't have corel on.

I'm also thinking to switch from Photoshop to Gimp. There was times when I would use Photoshop almost on daily basis, doing a lot of things and using it professionally, but I'm not in graphics designer field anymore and I rarely tuch Photoshop recently (don't even remember when I last used it). So, I think it's pointless to have it and paying for something you're not using or even having cracked version which isn't cool isn't a good idea in my case, so I'm thinking to uninstall it and use Gimp which is free that doesn't require money or some cracked software that god knows what brings & does in your computer. As, I said, I won't be doing anything professional there, but want to have it in case I need to do something that free editing tools that come with Windows aren't capable.
