    Strange file extension


    I have 2 files that I do not know/remember what was used to create them, they are both .sra files.

    I have tried converting these files (using online sites) to .pdf, .doc, .jpg, etc.; but I get an error each time. The errors usually say the file is not recognized & cannot be converted.

    Does anyone happen to know what format I should convert these to?

    These are likely DNA sequencing data files. You should able to find program that can handle these files
