    I finally created 2 ISO's just in case but never got from Microsoft as it would never get past 0% but found another source.

    Can you at least point me to a post to take the next step?

    Hmm...

    The only thing that happened to me on 2004 was after the final install reboot, the desktop background image was missing.
    Just on one system.

    There was an issue with some recipients of 2004 (may apply to older versions, not sure) where the application image listing in the registry was appended with a debug key, the result was trying to start the app brought up a generic Windows error message claiming the application could not be run/ does not exist.
    This was reported on by Bleepingcomputer.com and ZDNet I believe. Could this be the op's issue?
