Free Program to convert PNG to Text?

Is there a free program I can install (Windows 10 Pro-1909) that will let me convert a PNG to an editable text file?
We get a capture using the Nimbus screenshot tool and it saves it as a PNG. However we then wish to just convert it to an editable text file for printing, etc. I do not want this to be an online conversion but a free program I can install. Any suggestions? I know there are some OCR programs but they do not accept a PNG but want you to scan a document.

Thank you but don't the OCR apps assume that you want to scan in a page as I had not seen any that let you open a a file on your system. I will look again.

I had tried the one for DRIVE but the edits were very hard to do and I do not see any in the MS Store if that is what you meant.

I use Nimbus Screenshot browser extension and you can define capture as .jpg or .png in options.

Or just use an image converter.

Note: Mostly they are not 100% accurate and cannot often read all text correctly.

I know I can change Nimbus to jpg. Is jpg to word free I wonder. I will look at it! However is this an online conversion or software for the PC?

Free software that I have not personally tried. It's not an online converter.
