Well, JPG to Word was not very accurate at all for the file I tried. I guess I can try another thing from Softpedia.

I've never found a 100% accurate OCR utiilty. Get the text and run a spell check then make corrections.

If you find one that actually works let us know.

Just tested this:

Copyfish – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-US)

Open image from desktop with browser [Ctrl+O] or File> Open

I opened this image:

Scanned it via Copyfish:

Result:

There's no uploading to a website required.

Other than that you'd just have to test programs until you find one that works well.

OK, but I am getting very little accuracy and the one that is supposed to be very good will not even install!

It is Screen Translator 3.0.1 and is a zip but when extracted it just will not run at all!

I will look at copyfish but can I scroll the window as the capture from Nimbus will let me do that.

Just downloaded Screen Translator 3.0.1 - will see if I can install it and launch it.

OK, but it is a real mess here. Let me know just what you clicked when you unzipped it!

Got it running but it crashes on every capture.

Basically install the file shown in the first screenshot then from settings update the required language, translator (I used google), dictionary (hunspell)

It still crashes when I capture.

Anyway I'm taking a break until tomorrow.
